As we inch closer to the finishing touches at our Los Angeles project, wanted to sneak in a few iphone shots of the kitchen. Not exactly sure the scale translates, from the 14ft high ceilings, 20ft floating marble shelf with light channel inset into the stone, oversized integrated marble sink and giant custom hood over the range it makes for one of our favorite kitchens to date! Throw in @portolapaints Limewash walls and Italian mid century fixtures, all designed and curated by @keuninglagerfelt - sitting on top of LA with 20 mile views covering the whole city out to the Pacific Ocean! Much more to show on this project as we start winding down.

A few interior shots of the entry and main living area at our Encinitas project. Elevation changes at the step down living room lead right into an 18’ high, vaulted ceiling room for maximum impact. @porcelanosa tile into @monarchplank surrounded by custom and individually milled 1-1/2” oak slat walls. One of the many challenges we faced throughout was the elevation change at the back doors, 2 large @lacantinadoors pocket and hide away in the center block, giving that indoor/outdoor vibe that many desire in Southern California. This involved some zig zag shaped concrete foundation at multiple heights, 38’ beam and necessary structural support. Doors installed at various stages with structure built around them. Apparently if it’s simple…..everyone would be doing it, we like a good challenge to keep us on our toes! @madesign.drafting

A lot of blood, sweat and possibly tears went into this one. It started with ground up guest house, then straight into tearing down main house and rebuilding, throw in a sports court, pool and a whole lot of landscaping and we think this came out pretty fine!
Working with awesome clients with a vision also helps, the type that welcome interesting technology, ideas and products. This one has a full wrap of exterior insulation courtesy of @zipsystems built behind the rain screen that the @aspyredesign @jameshardie sits on. Black @lacantinadoors and @themarvinbrand windows and doors with copper head flashing compliment the smooth white stucco.Have a mountain of Custom milled White Oak and Cedar inside and out, standing seam metal roof, board formed concrete curved walls at the entry, sand blasted straight stack blocks at exterior and a whole lot more. 100% collaboration with in-house team, trade partners, vendors - thankful to all involved in this @madesign.drafting project. Wanted to wait for these “non iphone” photos to show it off, so stay tuned for more. From the Santa Barbara Stucco and Hardie Aspyre siding to the Clear Cedar soffit, trimmed out with Metal Clad beams, all leading to the Custom made 4x8 White Oak front door fabricated from scratch at Structwell HQ. So many trades coming together to bring this to life.

We’re not the greatest at posting our work unfortunately, but when we get to go visit a prior project it would be rude not to snap a shot or 2 of this awesome Master Bath. Fresh with sandblasted privacy screen glass doors, heated floors that run into the shower (cause no one wants cold feet in their morning shower!) The preparation that was necessary to line up the skylights for natural light to wash the center of each sink / mirror ran many months prior and coordination efforts with multiple trades. #customhomes #sandiegoconstruction #sandiego #sandiegocontractor #missionhillssd #missionhillssandiego

Some more shots from our recent Mission Hills project. Limited to original window layout/design per Historical society, Clients opting to go with green cabinets as a nod to the original kitchen. We could sense the anxiety all the way until installation as to whether the right choice was made! In the end, Cabinets were executed perfectly and fit the vibe of this century old house renovation all the way. We couldn’t do these homes without all the awesome trade partners we have built up over time that constantly come through for us.
